AW: tomcat web server and dynamic XSL

tomcat xsl
I didn't thought that tomcat invokes the transformation. I just thought
the browser realizes that he needs some stylesheets to transform the xml
file and that the browser gets those xsl files from the webserver
automatically. So am I wrong? When I use a web server I need to
transform the XML files before delivery to the the browser? On my local
mashine it works fine! The browser gets alls the XSL files from the
filesystem and invokes the transformation!

|
|Are you perhaps imagining that tomcat, when asked to serve an XML file,
|will
|automatically look for the <?xml-stylesheet?> processing instruction
and
|apply an XSLT transformation?
|
|That's not the way it works. You have to write some servlet code (or
|install
|some code that's already been written) that uses the JAXP interface to
|invoke the transformation.
