I should have mentioned that the HTML snippet is itself XML data which has been input by the user. The user has the option of including HTML tags in his message. - Maria <BillerComment>Upon pressing submit you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions on <a href="http://www.bell.ca" target=newwindow> bell.ca</a> the terms and conditions on Bell's site</BillerMessage> -----Original Message----- From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Andreas L. How do I escape the escape character so > that the HTML contains the less-than sign? > Hi, Is there any reason in particular why you can't do, for instance : <xsl:template match="???"> <xsl:text>Upon pressing submit you are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions on </xsl:text> <a href="http://www.bell.ca" target="newwindow">bell.ca</a> <xsl:text> the terms and conditions on Bell's site</xsl:text> </xsl:template> ? Remember that the 'tags' are, especially in this case, valid XML, ergo valid XSLT code. Hope this helps!
