 <xsl :call-templates match=  /A >

It is neither

<xsl:template match="/A"/>
<xsl:call-template name="A"/>

Or

<xsl:apply-templates select="/A"/>

If you know all the right syntax then use it!  No one can guess from
your made up syntax what you are asking...
