Note this is the wrong list really; if you want to change the draft, post a comment to public-qt-comments@xxxxxx however: I fail to see the relevance. Whether or not the host language is functional, XPath is not. And I don't see the point of saying it is. I doubt that it was a particularly conscious decision to make that statement for Xpath. XPath and Xquery have shared source files and the Xquery version of the paragraph makes better reading, you could just ask them to mark the whole sentence as xquery only.
