RE: randlist followed by randlist with different inden

Thanks Ken, this works but I left out one little detail. The first
randlist starts with a bullet the second with a en-dash and the third
with a bullet. Any ideas how I can make that work?

  <xsl:choose>
    <xsl:when test="count(../preceding-sibling::randlist) mod 2 = 1">
       ...do a bullet...
    <xsl:otherwise>
       ...do an en-dash...
