xslt 2.0 replace element name
Hi Eddie,

At 07:13 AM 11/25/2003, you wrote:
Thanks, there is definitely a typo in my element name, it should be
<commander_s_tracked_station_list>. You are right that Jim's rule will work
with the example given, but may alter other instances. I may just have to
wait for XSL 2.0 (if it will have the capability I need), or use an
extension. Thanks.

Even with XSLT 2.0 or with an extension you'll need to know what rule to apply.

In principle, this is only achievable some of the time. I can have a process that automatically converts the string

"Hi, how are you?"

into the string

"xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

and converts "I'm fine, thanks" into "xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"

but the process that will turn them back again correctly is ... er ... non-trivial. :->

Cheers,
Wendell
