Alternatively... Unless you have hundreds of choices it is certainly simpler and probably not much less efficient to simply include all all of them always and then use a parameter to control which templates are actually used (eg if each of the skin stylesheets declares templates in a unique mode, you just need a choice selecting a mode based on teh value of your variable.
