Re: passing variable through to document() call.

  So the with-param don't seem to be passing the value through.

  What could I be missing?


parameters are never passed automatically, your  parameter in teh 
ivory template will only get a value if the apply-templates which
invokes it is called with with-param
something like
  <xsl:with-param name="render2web" select="$render2web""/>
is the usual idiom.
