Taro,
Look up the attributes allowed on the xsl:output element, including doctype-system and doctype-public. A google search, or a lookup in the spec (or in a reference to the spec such as the one at http://www.zvon.org) will tell you more. It won't *keep* your doctype, but it'll allow you to specify the string value you want in the identifiers in the doctype declaration of your output (assuming it's serialized).
