I'm new to XML, and I saw an example template that used the following: What date does the document in which you found this example have? In the November 1999 XSLT 1.0 the above would be along the lines of: <xsl:if test="not(preceding-sibling::*[name(.)=name(current())])"> <h1><xsl:value-of select="name(.)"/></h1> </xsl:if> This is a way for selecting distinct XML elements... I think. If I've guessed your example, it is asking for the presence of any preceding element siblings of the same name as the current element. If someone could either explain it to me, or point me to a good tutorial/reference that I could read about what I'm supposed to do to get this to work, I would appreciate it.
I hope this helps. .................. Ken
