Announcement: FXSL version 1.2

1.2

This is a maintenance release. A few bugs have been fixed.

The biggest change from FXSL 1.1.1 is that now FXSL comes in a single
edition only (as opposed by three separate editions for MSXML, Saxon and
Xalan before).

The reason for this is that the FXSL templates now use the ext:node-set()
function from EXSLT.

EXSLT has been supported for some time by both Saxon and Xalan. I have
implemented EXSLT support for MSXML4 and made it available on the FXSL site.

Therefore, no reason exists to support now different FXSL versions for those
three XSLT processors.

MSXML users of FXSL have to download and install the EXSLT for MSXML4
package, then they will be immediately able to use FXSL 1.2.

It is recommended to do so, because in the future only this single FXSL
version and its descendents will be maintained.


Finally, the good news -- all this means that :

           FXSL is now available for all other XSLT processors, which
implement the node-set() function of EXSLT.
