David, Wendell, Mark and everybody else, Thank you very much for being so patient with me!! I figured it out. I should not use xsl:number level="any" count="buProdId"/> to do the count. count(//productId) should be used here. I am a newbie with xsl and am still trying to learn how to explain my xsl type of questions. I appreciate all your help!!!
