xslt 2.0 implementations
Andrew,

Oracle XML Developer's Kit for Java Release 10i Beta implements XSLT 2.0 and XPath 2.0,
among numerous other W3C and JCP specs that might be of interested for experimenting with.

As the "Beta" name implies, it's Beta quality.

  http://otn.oracle.com/tech/xml/xdk/content.html

The above readme page lists support for:

    XML 1.0 (Second Edition)
    SAX 2.0 & SAX Extensions
    XSLT 1.0
    XPath 1.0
XML Schema 1.0 Structures & Datatypes
    DOM Level 2.0 Core
DOM Level 2.0 Traversal and Range
    DOM Level 2.0 Events
    XML Pipeline Definition Language 1.0
Java API for XML Processing 1.1
DOM Level 3.0 Load and Save (25th July 2002 WD)
DOM Level 3.0 Validation (8th October 2002 WD)
    XSLT 2.0 (11th November 2002 WD)
    XPath 2.0 (11th November 2002 WD)
XPath 2.0 Data Model (11th November 2002 WD)
Java Architecture for XML Binding v0.75

Of course, we also have a production release of the Oracle XDK, whose
latest release is 9.2.0.5, which has the production quality XSLT 1.0
and XPath 1.0 in there.

Subject: XSLT 2.0 Implementations

| Apart from Saxon 7.4 what other prototype XSLT 2.0 implementations are
| currently available - either publicly or by sign up to a alpha/beta program?
|
| I believe that Xalan has an early prototype using parts of XSLT 2.0 but
| can't find the relevant URL for further information on xml.apache.org. I
| assume it will only be accessible using CVS meantime. Can anyone advise me
| of the relevant syntax and/or a URL where it is described?
|
| Many thanks.
