Can I force Xalan's implementation of document() to instance a /non-validating/ parser? Calling document() to load an XML file to merge with the current file is apparently validating every sub-document -- in our case, the XML to be merged does not need validation, and the DTDs are not even available to the merging process -- validation causes an otherwise correct system to fail.
