You are right. But the problem is that the attributes/elements like author
don't have to be in the same hierarchy level of an XML doc.
Maybe on part (=term) of my query is located in a totally other place anmd
hierachy level of the tree. How could I then get a sensible
result extract of the original XML DB.
Allways keep in mind the person who submits the query does not know how the
query is mapped. This will be handled by an extra XML-form meta description.

description + user query (() AND () OR ( () OR ())) => XSLT
stylesheet(source database in XML)  => result XML parts of DB

You would be right if I just wanted to check wether a doc contains words
like normal search engines.
But this should fit all kinds of BIG XML DBs.

So I still need answers ;-)
