The idea is that you give the people on the list some hint as to what's happening. Do you mean you get no <a> element? In this case presumably key() returned an empty node set. Unless you show your xsl:key definition and a sample input there's not a lot that can be said about that. Or do you mean that you got an <a> but an empty href attribute and content In that case the nodes returned by the key probably haven't got id and title sub elements. or do you mean you don't get anything, even the ... in which case presumably the whole template is never called.
