Devan, imagine you have something like . . <xsl:for-each select="TABLE/child::*[name()='PRICE']"> <xsl:value-of select="."/> . . </xsl:for-each> that means, that all PRICE-grandchildren of the current node, which have TABLE-parents will be processed.
