Subj: Attributes, attribute nodes & namespaces

I wondered about asking this question the long way or the short way, but have
decided at least initially to attempt the short way.

If an attribute node can have a QName and an expanded-name why does (or so it
seems to me) an XPath attribute node not have a namespace node to correspond
to the namespace?

Or have I missed something horribly obvious. ... Always a possibility. :)

Thanks in advance

Andrew Watt
