you forgot to match the namespace. try this:
<xsl:copy-of select="document('ns.xml')//plan:detailedDescription"
xmlns:plan="http://www.xyz.com/yyy/Plan"/>
Cheers,
Johannes
Hi,
I need access to data from another XML document and for that I do the
following on my XSL
<xsl:copy-of select="document('d3.xml')//detailedDescription"/>
Problem: I do not see anything in the output. If I leave out
"detailedDescription" and have "." in its place I see the whole "d3.xml"
contents, but I cannot get <detailedDescription...>
line inserted in my output.
Any help would be appreciated.
My "d3.xml" looks like below:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Root name="D2" type="D2" xmlns="http://www.xyz.com/yyy/Plan">
<detailedDescription>D2</detailedDescription>
<VersionHistory/>
<groupStructure>None</groupStructure>
<groups>
<group name="Default">
<records1>
<record>
<effectiveDate>2001-01-01</effectiveDate>
<dollarAmount>25.00</dollarAmount>
</record>
</records1>
</group>
</groups>
</Root>
Thanks,
Sanjay
