I just read that with Boston SMIL and integration of XHTML and > SMIL will probably become possible. But right now, is it possible to output > SMIL directly? SMIL is in XML format so one can manipulate it using XSLT. <xsl:output/> 's ability to generate a media type is more of a passive thing, if u are expecting IE or GRINS to do something because you have said 'this is application/smil' u will have to fiddle about. BTW i would suggest using SMIL 2.0 and grins browser at the moment. cheers, jim fuller > > My XSL looks like this: > > <?xml version="1.0" ?> > <xsl:stylesheet > version="1.0" > xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> > > <xsl:output > method="xml" > indent="yes" > media-type="application/smil" > /> > > > > <xsl:template match="/"> > <smil> > <head> > <meta name="author" content="Roger"/> > <meta name="title" content="{iba/page/Section/Page/title}"/> > <meta name="copyright" content="2000"/> > > <layout> > <root-layout height="240" width="320"/> > <region id="video" left="0" top="0" height="240" width="320" z-index="1" > fit="fill"/> > <region id="transcript" left="0" top="210" width="320" height="25" > fit="fill" z-index="2" /> > </layout> > </head> > <body> > <xsl:apply-templates select="iba/page/Section/Page/Document"/> > </body> > </smil> > </xsl:template> > > </xsl:stylesheet> > > > > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
