For that you want to use your file system copy command:-) XSLT can _not_ do an exact copy of the input syntax. It does not see the original file, just the result of parsing it with an XML parser. So it sees the same input if you go <![CDATA[a<b]]> or a<b as these are the same thing. Incidentally why do you care whether it is output as CDATA or as characters or references? CDATA is a shorthand for hand authoring to save writing < so often but it is fairly pointless in machine generated XML.
