non breaking space utf 8

I'm using for a non-breaking space in my xsl
template, but it's rendering in the browsers as:

 Â

The encoding in the xml declaration is UTF-8
Any ideas how to solve this?

Well That is nmost likely the correct bytes for the nbsp character
in UTF-8. If your browser isn;'t automnatically detetecting that then
try explictly chosing utf-8 encoding from the menu (if it offers that)
or specify a different encoding (eg iso-8859-1) in your xsl:output
statement.

David
