Sorry maybe well-formed was not used in the correct context. Initially I pass the content through the MSXML parser with no validation against a DTD. This provides me with a well-formed XML document..Doc A Even though Doc A is well-formed XML, it isn't the well-formed content I want. For example, <foo> <b> text </b> </foo> is well formed but the content I want is <foo> <p> <b> text </b> </p> </foo> After I've attempted to 'tidy' the content I do a second pass through the MSXML this time with validation on. Result: Tidied,well-formed content. -----Original Message----- From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of David Carlisle Sent: Wednesday, March 14, 2001 10:03 AM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Testing for Parent Nodes of multiple types > The content I receive is not always well-formed. You can't use XSL for documents that are not well formed XML.
