Does anybody know a similar tool that works under solaris environment ?

Personally, I'd probably use Perl with the HTML::Parser module, which can handle just about anything that the major browsers can (in terms of poorly-formed or invalid markup). Requires a bit more programming work, but for a single project, probably not too bad.
