Well Oliver did. You know what abstraction is?
If you take a look at Oliver's merge.xslt, you'll see it's a little more
complicated than the document() function.

Are you the administrator for this list or something?

a clear example should always be included, abstraction leads to too much useless conversation,

through an example we can

a) know how much 'syntax' knowledge is grasped by the postee and correct if necc.

b) in xsl meaning one thing or another can really only be demonstrated through an example, take a look at the past months archives

c) if u've been on this list for any amount of time, u would relise that david tends to answer a huge bulk of the questions here,
so if u thirst for xsl knowledge and expect an answer, david is usually first past the post with a few others.

d) merging xml documents is a basic and common operation within xsl, with a few different ways of accomplishing this, have u thought of getting a book or looking through a faq, before using the calculator ?

cheers, jim fuller
