many into one
At the WWP we love the stylesheet Miloslav Nic posted in response to
Sebastian's question, but being never satisfied we desire one more
thing. For us, a stylesheet like this would be most useful if it could
report in a single output file the results for a entire directory of
source files. As I understand it, when given a directory as source
document, Saxon wants a directory named as output and in that
directory creates one output file for each source file. Two questions:
firstly, is there a way to tell Saxon to produce a single output file
from multiple inputs? and secondly, would the resulting file simply be
a concatenation of multiple result sets, or would it be possible to
have the results merged (ie. it would report each element only once,
and the attribute value totals would be for the whole directory)? Or
am I just asking the impossible ...

Paul.
