Your problem is here with the Server.MapPath("note.asp"). This is asking the
server to open the file note.asp from the filesystem.

After processing is the point here. Because you are using
Server.MapPath("note.asp") note.asp is not being processed. Change the line
to xmlDoc.load("note.asp"); This will request note.asp from the server and
so will be processed as asp and you will end up with the result.
