u can try XSLT programmers reference by Michael Kay for xsl.

Hello,
	I have a startup project whose architecture is  - frontend will be
browser with HTML and XML or may be PDF. Middle layer will be Application
server for the Servlets and the backend is Oracle and MS SQL Server. Could
any one suggests me good books on XML which covers XML and XSL and FO's and
also how to link it with Servlets.
