Rama,
looking at it a bit more closely maybe you want something more like
<TABLE id="resultsTable" width="400" border="0"
cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" whitespace="nowrap">

notice the id="resultsTable"
then you can do
resultsTable.outerHTML = xmldoc.transformNode(xsldoc);
