xsl tidy
You need to match the root in your stylesheet.

<xsl:template match="/">
	<xsl:apply-templates/>
</xsl:template>

OK but

   <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
   xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform">
   <xsl:template match="table">
       <xsl:value-of select="name()"/>
   </xsl:template>
   </xsl:stylesheet>

will not produce anything.

Ciao Chris

Yes it will, if there are any table elements in the input, and match="//table" would have the same result (possibly more slowly) You seem to be forgetting about the default templates. (Perhaps you are thinking about the-language-known-as.... rather than XSLT)

David
