This would certainly be on my wishlist for the next level of the XSLT
specification! I want a real system property, in the XSL namespace,
for the vendors version identifier. (Probably two, actually, one of
which is required to be a valid number just like xsl:version. The
other would be a string that could have letters and more than one
decimal point.)

The above is separate from any wish to have other arguments to
system-property() in the vendor's own namespace.
