I don't understand the question (or what you have against more than one
template) but anyway if you want to do it all in one:

<xsl:template match="/">

a value from this file: <xsl:value-of select="a/b/c"/>

a value from another file: <xsl:value-of select="document('z.xml')/a/b/c"/>

a value from yet another file: <xsl:value-of select="document('y.xml')/a/b/c"/>

another value from this file: <xsl:value-of select="a/b/d"/>

</xsl:template>
