So you are almost right: 1) If you must create entities from scratch use <xsl:text disable-output-escaping> 2) If you must preserve input entities then I think there is really no standard solution ;-( (But I hope I hadn't reason!) Some processors ouput the entities (eg. using cocoon the "&#...;" that stands for MathML's "Λ" is mapped to "Λ"), some do not. >...
