They won't be there in the next release but they are on my (long) list of
things to do. The next couple of releases, those in the 0.8.x series will
not offer any more overt functionality but will improve the functionality
(and correctness) of the underlying formatting model.

As the underlying formatting model is improved, the following will be made
easier (in order):

    * borders and backgrounds (which no one has asked for, mind you)
    * lists within list bodies
    * tables

I think Sebastian has made a fair prediction. A quick hack might be
possible, but I'd prefer to focus on getting the underlying formatting model
improved first.
