Hi Sara, <YourComment> Well said! This is something that programmers (no slur intended) frequently don't understand -- it often times takes as long to develop a UI, write good documentation and package it as it does to write the code and make it work. And it works MUCH better, at least in terms of the UI and documentation, if the UI analysts and writers are involved from the very beginning. </YourComment> <Reply> Sara, Having this make all the difference between having a product and a "geek" toy. A product is not only code, but also knowledge on how to use this product, how to improve it, how to re-use it into other packages, etc. I agree that people who have to transfert that knowledge should be part of the process right from the beginning. If the code as UI, so it is for UI designers. I you want to be part of our discussions on the future of the UnitedDevelopers guild you may subscribe to our mailing list at: http://UnitedDevelopers.listbot.com We would prefer UnitedArtist because we think that this is a team effort involving modern kind of artists: knowledge writers, code writers, site designers, etc... Everything that it takes to have a "whole product" but this trade mark is already taken. Don't think that the name is restrictive to a certain class of people. The intent is to produce products with all the discipline involved in creating a good product. So, Sara, your contribution would for us a precious gift. </Reply> Regards Didier PH Martin mailto:martind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx http://www.netfolder.com XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
