Hello all,*

Declarative Amsterdam <https://declarative.amsterdam/>* 2026 will be 
happening at CWI, Amsterdam Science Park on Thursday/Friday November 12 
and 13, 2026.

The program <https://declarative.amsterdam/program> is live and packed 
with presentations and tutorials, to teach and to inspire.

  * Thursday morning will start with a short tutorial on whitespace
    handling in ixml by *Steven Pemberton*.
  * Next, there will be a dual track: *Jennifer Ramirez* will do an
    introductory tutorial on XSLT, and *Wim Bast* will do one on Nelumbo.
  * In the afternoon, *Sasha Firsov *will do a short tutorial on his
    Custom Element Markup Language (CEM-ML)
  * Next, we will split up again: *Amanda Galtman* will run a tutorial
    on XSpec, and *Adam Retter* will teach the tutees how to create web
    applications using XML databases.
  * As last year, *Liam Quin* will kick off the symposium, with a
    presentation on Object-oriented XQuery and declarative documents.



The symposium will continue on Friday, offering a nice mix of well-known 
speakers alongside lesser-known experts. To drop their names:

 \xA0They will discuss techniques and technologies such as RumbleDB, 
EXPath, XForms, XQueryX, XProc, ixml, LMNL, and SaxonJS.

 \xA0We will end with a keynote on the super powers of HTML and CSS by 
*Jemima Abu*; we are very happy to have her. We feel this is again an 
engaging and informative lineup for our attendees, as you can see for

The conference is a hybrid event, live at the Science Park in Amsterdam, 
and live-streamed.
