And since I know that encoders in this community, by habit and tool,
enter attributes in a certain order, I'd like the displayed order to
be document order.
I got irritated with an application recently where attributes were
serialized inconsistently - not because the order of attributes is
information-bearing, but because consistency of presentation helps the
human reader find information quickly. So the next Saxon release
includes a serialization property to control attribute order on output.
