Either write one stylesheets that creates as its result a second stylesheet which you then apply as needed.

Or check whether your XSLT processor supports an extension function to evaluate an XPath expression given in a string at run-time, like http://www.saxonica.com/documentation/extensions/functions/evaluate.xml
