 i prefer generate md5 as replacement for name ;) Similarly, I have advised a client on the use of base64 encoding to obfuscate strings, though that can produce "=" characters unsuitable for a name. How about using hexBinary encoding after starting with a name-start character? . . . . . . . . . .
