LexEv converts #x00027 to:

<lexev:char-ref name="#x00027">'</lexev:char-ref>

...so you have the character and the original code.

Its integrated into Kernow: go to Options -> Kernow Options -> LexEv
tab and tick the "enable LexEv" box.
