I think XSLT is just a tool that we can use in a specific area, like documentation engineering or writing enterprise Java applications, but what would you use it for just in itself? A similar example: if you are looking for a C programming job, you will need to use your C skills for something, e.g. write networking code, device drivers, etc. Jobs are always aiming on practical usage, not just on a specific technology.
