</xsl:template>


if you need to do same in xslt1 then 

. is $first

becomes

generate-id(.) = generate-id($first)

and

     <xsl:attribute name="refoid" select="$first/@oid"/>

becomes

     <xsl:attribute name="refoid"><xsl:value-of select="$first/@oid"/></xsl:attribute>
