For one, I'm pretty confident I can transform XML much much faster in
XSLT than in JSP any day, and in my experience the loading of XML
documents and starting up processors end up with a smaller footprint
(source, memory, complexity, etc.)  than working around some crazy
object model (unless they are seriously small and neat, a true work of
wonder in these bloated object model times). As the saying goes, it
all depends.

Finally, if your source is XML, using anything but XSLT is just masochism.
