I must say this sounds like an Expert Opinion, Tommie, but in general I
agree with you.  As I see it, the part of XSLT which renders style is
"WYSIWYG", but the processing part would be more rightly described as
"PNATTMBTC", Pay No Attention To The Man Behind The Curtain.

So called labor saving devices often do not end up saving much labor
they just raise the presentation standards; a vacuum for example (think
WYSIWYG).  Nonetheless, you wouldn't send an Electrolux to fight an
Ebola outbreak - because it's a different sort of clean you're looking
for (think PNATTMBTC).

XSLT is a nice language in which to see the difference between
presentation and processing power, including as it does elements of
both.
