There's a mass of humanity out there that uses the term "parser" when
referring to an XSLT processor. I've no idea how this usage emerged, but
despite the fact that it's nonsense it seems to be very widespread.

And by "java parser", I think he means the XSLT processor that comes bundled
with the JDK, that is, Xalan.
