actually Dave P's faq list is often quite hard to search, i cheated a
bit by saying it's a faq, I know it's a Frequently Asked Question
because I've been on this list since before xslt1 was a rec and Ive seen
it frequently asked:-)
although the questions around here in the faq list cover the same ground, more or less
