At first i thought you are calling the jsdl:LowerBoundedRange template without passing a value for VARNAME but i think in that case xsl:param should default it's value to the empty string. You are probably trying to use $VARNAME somewhere without the variable/param being in scope. Tough to figure it out without the complete XSL. Cheers, Manos
