Question about pattern priority

Subject: Question about pattern priority

Hi,

Does anybody know if there is a reason that the pattern '//jack' has a priority of 0.5 where the pattern just 'jack' has a priority of 0?

Would it be fair to assume that //jack and jack should have the same priority?

Best regards,
David
