To calculate the "index" of the current "Cell" node use:

 count(preceding-sibling::*)
-
 count(preceding-sibling::*[@ss:Index][1]/preceding-sibling::*)
+
 preceding-sibling::*[@ss:Index][1]/@ss:Index
