[XSL-LIST Mailing List Archive Home] [By Thread] [By Date] [Recent Entries] [Reply To This Message] Re: only display if subnodes occur more than once
If the input is modified so that sub_b has two groups of repeated
elements then the code I just posted repeats the containing element for
each group.
$ saxon submode.xml submode.xsl
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<root>
<sub_b>
<elem_2/>
<elem_2/>
<elem_2/>
</sub_b>
<sub_b>
<elem_3/>
<elem_3/>
</sub_b>
</root>
It may be that you'd prefer these to be re-merged:
$ saxon submode.xml submode.xsl
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<root>
<sub_b>
<elem_2/>
<elem_2/>
<elem_2/>
<elem_3/>
<elem_3/>
</sub_b>
</root>
in which case the stylesheet is a copule of lines longer:
<xsl:stylesheet
version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
>
<xsl:output indent="yes"/>
<xsl:key name="x" match="root/*/*"
use="concat(generate-id(..),':',name())"/>
<xsl:template match="root">
<root>
<xsl:for-each select="*">
<xsl:variable name="d"
select="*[generate-id()=generate-id(key('x',concat(generate-id(..),':',name()))[2])]"/>
<xsl:if test="$d">
<xsl:copy>
<xsl:for-each select="$d">
<xsl:copy-of select="key('x',concat(generate-id(..),':',name()))"/>
</xsl:for-each>
</xsl:copy>
</xsl:if>
</xsl:for-each>
</root>
</xsl:template>
</xsl:stylesheet>
